The photographs taken in the UK are divided into seven sections with three of these devoted to bird life. Many of the photos were taken in my home county of Shropshire either in Ironbridge, where I live, or at locations close to Telford. Venus Pool, near Cross Houses, has proved to be a profitable place for watching and photographing waders, ducks and the occasional kingfisher. Suffolk features strongly, especially the RSPB reserve at Minsmere. Mid- Wales Falconry has proved to be an excellent venue for learning to take good quality of photos of raptors. I recommend wildlife photography workshops run by Mark Sisson. Most of the photos were taken within the past six years and with photographic equipment which has been up to the task. I am currently using a Canon 5D, Mark II with a Canon F4 500mm lens often using a 1.4 converter to give me more focal length.
